Fungi

Fungi

There’s something magical about mushrooms, they seem to appear from nowhere and disappear as quickly, from a food point of view wild mushroom provide us with so much more than store bought. We can get some that taste nutty, some with the texture of chicken, others that can be turned in to sweets, used for sharpening knives and even ones that can be used as chewing gum when you’re out in the woods.

Although certain mushrooms will come to life throughout the year, come to autumn and a whole load seem to pop up all at once. Our view on mushrooms are to not really bother with any that are either too small to make anything decently edible with or with those that are extremely or notoriously difficult to identify.
