Join us on a full day of foraging and wild food lunch with a professional forager.

Foraging Seaweeds and other coastal wild foods.

After our initial meeting, we will go through some key information to help you in the correct identification of what we’re about to find. Along with your very own foragers’ baskets, we will head out to discover the vast array of wild edible species that lie all around us, Our Forager will give you tips on correct identification, potential look-alike species as well as a vast range of edible possibilities that the species can provide us with.

On returning to our venue we will have a quick break whilst making our prepared wild food lunch to which we will add a range of coastal wild food.

At the end of the course, you will be provided with basic foraging information and the recipes from the day in a little portfolio for you to take home.

Join a Totally Wild UK professional forager to learn the basics of foraging and to discover a range of wild edibles lying all around us.

After our initial meeting we will go through the basics of foraging. Then we head out to discover the vast array of wild edible species that lie all around us. Event Details

Join one of the Totally Wild UK professional foraging team to learn the inns and outs of foraging and wild food from the professionals.

After introductions we will get in to the mind set of a forager before heading out to discover the vast array of wild edibles lying all around us. Mushrooms can be a tricky business, however our goal is to teach you the keys to identifying fantastic edible mushroom families as well as the vast range of other autumn offerings from berries to nuts. Whilst on the walk you will get the chance to try up to 30 pre made tasters from infusions to jams, chutneys, salt pickles, syrups, salts and herb mixes. During our walk you will harvest a range of wild ingredients for us to cook up in to a wild inspired lunch for the group to enjoy before recapping on the session.

We cook up a range of things as a group on these courses and they’re dependent on the site and season but to give you an example here are just some of the things we’ve cooked in the past:

Wild mushroom risotto
Elder berry panna cotta
Wild garlic pesto pasta

Join us on a full day of foraging and wild food lunch with a professional forager.

Foraging Mushrooms and other autumnal wild foods.

After our initial meeting we will go through some keys to help you in the correct identification of what we’re about to find. Along with your very own foragers baskets we will head out to discover the vast array of wild edible species that lie all around us, Our Forager will give you tips on correct identification, potential look-alike species as well as a vast range of edible possibilities that the species can provide us with.

On returning to our venue we will have a quick break whilst making our prepared wild food lunch to which we will add a range of foraged fungi, berries and other autumnal finds.

At the end of the course you will be provided with basic foraging information and the recipes from the day in a little portfolio for you to take home.
