Buckland Park Lake

Park Drive, Betchworth RH3 7FE

A part of Buckland Estate, Buckland Park Lake was formerly a sand quarry, quarried until 1990. It is unsurprising, then, that this is an ecosystem formed on a basis of sandy, acidic soils, with sandy beaches and a sandstone cliff. At this location we generally take a walk around the lake itself, learning about the plants that thrive on the pathside, near the water, and in the woodland beyond.  Toilets onsite Free guest parking Children welcome (please note that one child under 12 is welcome to attend per ticketed adult, but we do not cater separately for children on our Forage and Cook events, so you be sharing your lunch!)  Dogs are not allowed Cafe
