Riverside Park
6 Beechwood Mews, Tytherington, Macclesfield SK10 2SL
Riverside Park, as its name suggests, occupies the floodplain of the River Bollin, following the river over 70 acres between Macclesfield and Prestbury. The area was used agriculturally until the 1980s, at which time it was designated a country park and extensive planting of trees and other plants was undertaken. The park is now home to a small woodland as well as lots of open grassland where we find all sorts of interesting wild edibles.
