Rufford Abbey

Rufford Abbey Country Park is a lovely place for a day out, and a lovely spot for foraging! We often wander through ‘The Wilderness’ as the woodland on the site has been known since 1725, by Rufford Lake, and through some open grassland. You can also, of course, take a look at the ruin of the old abbey, or check out the cafes and craft workshops located nearby.

Well behaved dogs allowed only on foraging walks. Dogs are not allowed in the room where lunch is cooked.
