Whinlatter Forest Park

In the lovely Lake District lies Whinlatter, a mountain forest with views across Keswick and lots of interesting wild species to forage. We often find raspberry, rowan, birch, sorrel, plantain, herb robert and meadowsweet on our walks here. The name Whinlatter is said to have come from a combination of old Norse and Gaelic, meaning, roughly, a gorse covered slope.  Toilets onsite Paid public parking Children welcome (please note that one child under 12 is welcome to attend per ticketed adult, but we do not cater separately for children on our Forage and Cook events, so you be sharing your lunch!)  Well behaved dogs allowed Cafe
