Assistant Forager Required
Totally Wild UK are a company predominantly working within the world of foraging and wild food and are looking to supply a foraging job.
We are looking for a new working assistant to take part in numerous aspects of the company. From foraging out in the field to helping within the packaging shop, turning wild foods into preserves, bottling, bagging and much more – you will be over seen by a trained forager. We are the only team of foragers in the UK to have developed and hold a L3 accreditation within foraging and wild food and we’re looking to bring a new level of professionalism to the industry. Initially an assistant will be taken on for expected 2-3 days per week which is set to increase to 5 days a week starting 2019. Hours will vary depending upon the weather and the season, sometimes including evening shifts, long day shifts, staggered hours and weekends. Requirements:
- Strong Work Ethic
- Ability to follow procedure and work to deadlines
- Very self-driven
- Full UK driving license
- Living within or easy access to Macclesfield, Cheshire
- Available Mon-Wed
- Takes pride within own work
Desired:
- Basic knowledge of plants
- Access to Vehicle
- Great customer service
- Understanding of food hygiene
- Experience of working within the food industry
- Understanding and respect of sustainability
