Nettle Soda Recipe

This Nettle soda is a simple, naturally fermented drink with a refreshing flavour that’s surprisingly similar to lemon iced tea — light, tangy, and just a little earthy. Thanks to the fermentation process, it’s not only delicious but also packed with natural probiotics that can support gut health. Best of all, it only takes a few days to ferment, making it a quick and rewarding introduction to wild fermentation.

Ingredients:

In a 500ml bottle add :

  • 30g brown sugar
  • a tiny bit of wine yeast
  • 400ml water
  • 5 Nettle tops
  • the juice of half a lemon
