FLOWERING CURRANT CORDIAL

In my opinion, there’s no better activity than making cordial from flowers you’ve picked! Especially when it tastes as delicious as Flowering Currant cordial. Sweet, pink, slightly herbal, refreshing and so simple.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cupful (or one big / adult handful) of flowers.(You don’t need to pick the flowers off individually, you can pinch off the whole drooping cluster.)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of white sugar.

Method:

Add all of the ingredient to a saucepan

Simmer until a nice runny syrup consistency is formed (about 15 minutes).

When it’s cool, pour into a sterilised jar or bottle.

When you’re ready to drink it, mix it up with water and pop in a few beautiful flower ice cubes!
