In my opinion, there’s no better activity than making cordial from flowers you’ve picked! Especially when it tastes as delicious as Flowering Currant cordial. Sweet, pink, slightly herbal, refreshing and so simple.
Ingredients:
- 1 cupful (or one big / adult handful) of flowers.(You don’t need to pick the flowers off individually, you can pinch off the whole drooping cluster.)
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of white sugar.

Method:
Add all of the ingredient to a saucepan
Simmer until a nice runny syrup consistency is formed (about 15 minutes).
When it’s cool, pour into a sterilised jar or bottle.
When you’re ready to drink it, mix it up with water and pop in a few beautiful flower ice cubes!
